This set of 2 loons are the same size, but the 1/4" acrylic is for quilting or cutting the whole shape. The 1/8" acrylic is in the pieces needed for creating applique. The loons are about 12" long by 5" tall.
We use Lite Steam A Seam 2 for fusing applique pieces along with good, sharp scissors like the Kai brand.
